Drueding Center

Drueding Center renews lives and restores hope by working with homeless women and their children to create two generations of self-reliant adults.
The Sisters of the Holy Redeemer founded Drueding Center in 1987 as Project Rainbow.  We serve the most vulnerable, helping them recover the dignity of standing on their own.  We are unique among Philadelphia’s transitional housing organizations in the length of time we stay involved with families—up to seven years after they leave Drueding Center—and in the quality and breadth of our interconnected programs.

We serve 500 families annually, 58 in our Residential Program. Families can live at Drueding Center for up to two years. Since 1987, we have served 625 families and 1,250 children.
